The interior design trends likely to transform your home in 2021

Being at home through periods of lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 has given most people a strong sense of what they are surrounded by visually every day in their homes.

We’ve had time to think; do we love or loathe our homes?

The extra time that most people have had at home has resulted in a boom of people expressing their own creative side doing budget makeovers and finishing off DIY projects they never previously had time to complete.

But the time at home has also made many people ponder about how we have decorated the spaces, how we use the spaces, and our own wellbeing impacted by our surroundings.

Many of the interior trends already established in 2019 and taken forward into 2020 are predicted to remain in the coming 12 months.

However, the events of 2020 have had a noticeable effect on the interior design world especially around the areas of how we connect our homes to nature and maybe how we create calmer spaces.

The year 2020 has influenced some of the interior design trends emerging and growing in strength as we move into 2021.

Totally new or morphed trends have begun to appear on blogs, websites, and social media and in the homeware shops, many of which have been born out of, or grown in strength, through this year of periods of lockdown.
